Immigrants come to the US in search for a better life. They're prepared to hustle, work their butts off, and do whatever it takes to provide for themselves and their families. It's not an easy road to take.
I talk a lot about being an immigrant. I came to the US at a very young age from the Philippines with my family and I saw my dad put in hours of hard work to take our 10 person family from a tiny two-bedroom apartment with fake walls to middle-class suburbia. I attribute my natural work ethic and drive to my parents because they taught me that you get out what you put in. Nothing was just handed to us, you know?
My story is important to me and whenever I meet someone with a similar story, it's an instant connection. That's how it was when Taby Davila and I met. She has an amazing story that starts with her family's attempts to cross the border into the US when she was very young. Now she's an incredibly successful entrepreneur with multiple businesses. There's so much that I think we can all learn from Taby because she is a super beauty boss.
