Let's talk about getting booked out.

Sheila Bella:

My favorite topic. Go for it.

Speaker 2:

Gosh. So I feel like there's a hump. Like I read over a DM script so many times, I'm sure a lot of people here have done it too. Right now I changed my tactics, I try to be like more personal when I approach them. Instead of saying, "Hey, did you find me from browsing [inaudible 00:05:53]?" So try to be more personal, like, "Oh, I like your brows." Or, "I like your hairs or whatever." So you start a conversations and a lot of people respond, but it's really hard to transit from there to sales.

Sheila Bella:

Okay, what are you saying? And who are you replying to?

Speaker 2:

Anyone who responds to your stories or like your pictures or whatever. Then you try to start a conversation from what you see on their page. And they do respond, they're like, "Oh, thanks." "Blah, blah, blah. Where did you get them?" Then they tell you, but then how do you convert into sales conversation? To close those sales, that's what we're trying to do.

Sheila Bella:

Right. So where is the disconnect? So do you ask them about their goals? You ask them about what their challenges are with their brow makeup?

Speaker 2:

No, because you don't even go there right away.

Sheila Bella:

You don't go there right away.

Speaker 2:

You're like, "Oh my gosh." Yeah, you're like, "Oh, I love your dog. I have a dog too." You're trying to relate. So the conversations open, but then how do you get into sales conversation from there?

Sheila Bella:

You have to just jump. You have to ask them what their biggest challenges are. You have to ask them about something related to the problem that you're solving. You got to ask them about their eyebrows. Another thing you can do is let's say they tell you they don't have a problem, they're good. Get them to trust you enough to send you a selfie, try that. Get them to trust you enough to send you a selfie, like their favorite selfie or even just like a selfie of them in real time. And what I would do is I would tell them, "Girl, I can do even better. You think your brows look good now? Wait until I get my hands on them, I can even better."

 

Have them send you some sort of selfie, use the app, Perfect 365, or there's another app.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, there are a lot of make up-

Sheila Bella:

Best Brows, there's a ton.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Sheila Bella:

There's a ton of brow apps where you can basically give them a virtual consultation right away. So they can see it immediately what a difference brows make. Brows or eyeliner, whatever it might be. But the way you do that is you can even just steal essentially a selfie from their Instagram feed. And by the way, girl, I had some fun with some editing. Check this out. What do you think? And you just need to go there. And then after they see it ... of course, they're going to love it because it just looks better. And then immediately after they show appreciation for it, tell them like, "What's stopping you? What's stopping you from making the appointment? Don't you love it?"

 

You need to be ... this is not my phrase. I was talking to the advisors this morning and just brought up the term BDE. You guys know what that stands for? It stands for big dick energy.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Sheila Bella:

And I was like ... so [inaudible 00:10:24] BDE. Be like, "You know what? Your life is going to be so much better after I've been in it. You have no idea what you're missing." The BDE. You have to be that confident. Because it's true, brows can change your whole face.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Sheila Bella:

So go for it, ask them what their challenges are. And if they ghost you, just straight up steal a selfie from their IG and then go transform it. You can even do like a virtual before and after so they know how eff'd up their face was before you-

Speaker 2:

No, that's a good point. Okay, perfect. I'm going to implement it.

Sheila Bella:

Hey guys, do you want to know the number one tool that I use for business? I just got off the phone with a FaceTime call and she was definitely hesitating. I think it was the rate-

Okay, let's talk about it.

But I will do that.

Was it the rate?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think so.

Sheila Bella:

Let's go back, why didn't she book?

Speaker 2:

I got off the phone, I don't know.

Sheila Bella:

So before you get off the phone, you need to make sure that you've exhausted all possibilities. You got her comfortable enough to tell you what is really stopping you. When I get sold to I pay attention because I love sales. A question somebody asked me recently and I was like, "That's good. I'm going to write that down." Was, is there anything at all that you can think of that will prevent you from putting down this deposit? What is it? Is there anything at all ... that should be in the script, but anyway, that's why we're doing Q&A's.

Speaker 2:

I was just thinking, how do I record this? Is it being recorded? [crosstalk 00:13:19]-

Sheila Bella:

It is being recorded.

Speaker 2:

Okay, good.

Sheila Bella:

I could throw a bunch of these [crosstalk 00:13:26]-

Speaker 2:

Perfect, perfect.

Sheila Bella:

But I plan on doing these more frequently. But is there anything at all you can think of that would prevent you from putting down a deposit? What is it? And get them to tell you. Customers lie to you guys every day.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Sheila Bella:

They're not ... "I'll do it in the summer." "I got to ask my husband." The truth is they're not going to buy unless they feel like they need it. Whatever it is, you didn't do your job conveying why they need it.

Speaker 2:

That's so true.

Sheila Bella:

Do you guys want to see how many drinks I have here? This is insane. Sorry, tangent. This is crazy. I got my energy drink. Take a picture, tag me. No, I'm just kidding.

 

Yeah, you didn't convey the value. You didn't make her feel like she needed it. You didn't press the pain point. So sales is ... no matter what it is, you have to learn how to sell vividly. You get her to tell you what it is that she completely hates about her routine. And you have to mirror it back to her. One of my favorite lines is, "So let me get this straight." So let me get this straight. That's me, I have to close my eyes because I lack the brain capacity when my eyes are open.

 

So let me get this straight. You mean to tell me that you've been drawing your brows in since you were 15 and how old are you now? 28. You've been drawing your brows in for 13 years every morning and you hate, you told me, you literally hate the way they come out. You mean to tell me that this has been a problem for you that has not gone away, this is a daily nuisance for you for the past 13 years. Then you make it worse. Then you say, let's just, just for fun. 365 times 13, 4,745 days you've been dealing with this problem. Where I can help you get rid of this problem in two hours. You mean to tell me you're okay living with it? You need to make it worse. You need to mirror why they need you, you need to mirror how completely asinine it is to not book with you. BDE.
