Because mama if you really want to be rich, if you've got some big financial plans for the new year, we have to get some things straight, okay? No more of these spaghetti entrepreneur tactics okay? In 2021 you shouldn't just be throwing all of these strategies at your business and hoping they stick. We're gonna be intentional about it.

... once you start treating yourself as somebody deserving of it, where it's just your destiny. Being rich is so much more about how much you value yourself, getting the help that you deserve, investing in the programs that you know you need, that you deserve, because you are way too good to work hard and not smart.
So I've heard somebody say before that if you want to know what somebody thinks about themselves, look at their bank account. Look at their bank account. I'm not talking about the wealth that they've accumulated. No, I'm talking about what do they spend money on? Where you put your treasure is what you believe in. Do you invest in yourself? Do you really believe in yourself? If you really believed in yourself, then you would invest in yourself.
Hey, question for you, how much money do you think you've spent in total on permanent makeup training, lash training, the trainings that improved your craft? Easily thousands of dollars by now.
My next question is, did any of those trainings teach you how to make money? Probably not. You may be an amazing artist, but they can't pay you for your talent if they don't even know you exist.

If you have a financial goal in the new year, take a step back away from your business plan, away from your calendar for a second. Take a moment first to recognize that the work starts inside yourself. Know the value of knowing your value because you can't expect to make a bunch of money if you don't feel deserving of it to begin with. You can't make a million dollars, because that's what everybody wants to make, they want to make $83,000 a month because that's a million dollars. You can't make a million dollars if you don't have million dollar habits. How can you expect to get a lot if you're only putting in a little bit?
I really believe that there a law. There's an invisible unspoken law in the universe that if you want to be successful, if you want to be successful, you just will be successful. It's like you're unstoppable. If you would team up with the right people, if you find the right people, which if you really wanted to be successful you would make all the mistakes you needed to make before finding the right people, you would invest in all of the programs, you would read all of the books, and you would leave no stone unturned until this thing was real. If you want to be successful, you just will be. It's inevitable. It's your future.
So realize that everyone you admire who has accomplished anything worthwhile, also did it through winning habits and winning investments, whether they're aware of it or not. They also show up like they deserve success. That looks like a million different things. But you know what it looks like pretty universally. What it looks like pretty universally to me is the willingness, the willingness to make mistakes because they know that mistakes don't define you. It's just data. It's just information.
You know what entrepreneurship is? Successful entrepreneurship rather, not faux-preneurs. Successful entrepreneurs do this. They say, "Oh man, that is scary. All right, fine. Let's do it." Then they journey a little bit more, and then they find something again that's like, "Whoa, I don't know about that. Is there any guarantees? That's totally freaking me out. All right, fine. Let's do it." And then they see it again. "Oh man, I don't know about that. That is really scary. I don't know how I feel about that. All right, F it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's just do it." That's what it really takes, the repetitive nature of doing it over and over again because the next level is never free. You have to pay something, whether that's in time, a financial investment, energy, in order to get to the next level. You need to be willing to risk everything because you know you deserve it.
At some point in your journey too, all of these people were made fun of, criticized, had naysayers, or ridiculed. But here's the difference. They keep going. Your passion needs to be greater than the negative forces around you. So wealth starts from within. It starts from what you believe you deserve.
So when setting an income goal this new year, think about why you feel you do or do not deserve that thing. I mean, to place a monetary dollar amount on your time and energy means that you would have served enough people to pay you whatever your monetary goal is, whatever that monetary figure is. So if you want to attract that, that's going to cost you something. You need to personally develop. That's why it's called personal development. When I talk about the word rich on this podcast, you guys know my [OGs 00:12:41], right? You understand that the word rich has so much more to do with having wealth in spirit and relationships, in love, in your faith, and in yourself.
So when drafting out your vision board or your New Year's resolutions, I think one of those things on that list is to finally put some skin in the game and start treating yourself as somebody deserving of success. Make it a priority, make you a priority.
