There are a lot of reasons why female entrepreneurs can be afraid of showing up online. When you put yourself online you are opening yourself up to a whole new kind of vulnerability. It's easy for people to forget that behind our screens are real people with real feelings and they can start to say some pretty hurtful things.
Nobody wants to be canceled - but we can't let fear stop us from showing up as our authentic selves and serving others. For this episode, I sat down with my friend Sarah Pendrick, the creator of Girl Talk. Sarah and I have both been doing our thing on the internet for a while and have gotten our fair share of social media bullying. But I think Sarah is a pro at looking a difficult situation in the eye and rising above it.
In this episode, we talk about tackling...
Seriously - what's stopping you? I know a lot of business owners who stuck their heads in the sand once the pandemic hit last year and refused to come back out. And I understand because it was scary. It was terrifying. Nobody knew what to do. But do you know what a lot of other entrepreneurs did? They pivoted and they made it work.
For this episode of Pretty Rich Podcast, I brought on my friend Monique Garcia of Browstetics to share her story because she built her own sig-figure beauty business all within a MONTH during the pandemic. And one of the really special things about Monique is that she is going to tell you EXACTLY how she did it.
That's right, beauty boss, she's not holding back! She's sharing the exact fool-proof sales funnel she used that made her successful even in a pandemic. So what are you waiting for?

Trust me, I know how it is. You don't have your business started yet, you don't have a salon yet, you don't have your course prepared yet - and that's why you don't want to talk about it.
But I'm telling you, this is the single greatest mistake I see entrepreneurs make no matter where they are in their careers. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out or if you've been in the business for 10 years. Fear can stop all of us.
So this episode is dedicated to you, wherever you are in your business, even if you've only ever dreamt of it. You need to start talking about it.

Can't live with 'em can't live without 'em, you know? Reviews are critical to the success and survival of our beauty businesses. Good reviews let potential clients know that they can trust us, that their brows, lashes, hair, nails, etc., are in safe hands. But bad reviews? Well, they always feel like they can break us.
Here's the thing - we all get bad reviews. We all get them. They're pretty much unavoidable. But they don't have to break us. We don't have to give them that power!
For this episode, I brought on a couple of my favorite kick-butt beauty bosses: Shay Danielle, Natalie Delaverde, and Amanda Breuer, to talk about how to get not only MORE REVIEWS for your beauty business but BETTER reviews for your beauty business. We also have a couple of friends share their experiences with reviews, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Remember, beauty boss, you're never alone! Let's do this.
Here are the...
Yes, anyone. Yes, even you.
You know how I know this? Because I've seen it. And I did it myself. Everyone (mostly) starts their business at the same place. We all start from the ground up, unless you like, inherit your business.
But we all start with knowing next to nothing and figuring it out as we go along. As artists we start with no knowledge on how to tattoo brows or apply lashes, then we learn, and over time we get better. The same thing applies to business. Even though the idea of scaling your business and growing seems scary - know it's possible because you have already grown your business.
I'm passionate about scaling beauty businesses because I believe that we all have room to grow. For this episode, I actually recorded a free live call I did with my free Facebook Group, Beauty Biz Secrets. I'm doing them once a month now so be sure to join so you don't miss these free calls! I answered questions...
I'M PREGNANT!!!
Yes, it's true, I'm pregnant. I'm 17 weeks pregnant at the time of recording this and I'm so happy to finally share this with you. I just wanted to make sure that it was shared in a way that was really special, and also this is my third and probably final pregnancy! I just really wanted to enjoy it.
BUT that's not all the exciting stuff I have to share with you! Uh uh.
I want to talk to you about SIMPLIFYING your beauty business problems and shifting your focus to the only beauty business metrics you need keep track of in order to GROW.
Let's just get into it, okay? Buckle up!
Here are the episode highlights:
‣‣ [01:49] Let's talk about the fact that I'M PREGNANT!!!!!
‣‣ [10:09] The advice trainers give you when you graduate is well-meaning but...ultimately incomplete.
‣‣ [14:37] There are four common problems I see among...
I think one of the top things new entrepreneurs forget about when starting their businesses is self-awareness. We've got big plans, big dreams, and we don't feel like we have time to do any deep reflection into ourselves. We know what we want, we know pretty much the steps we need to take to get there, what more do we need?
The thing is - the best entrepreneurs, the ones who are the most successful, are the ones who truly know themselves. Because to be successful you have to know your weaknesses. You have to know your strengths too, of course. But if you're blind to your weaknesses then you're going to have a lot of weaknesses in your business as well that you're not aware of. And those weaknesses are either going to slow you down or bring you down.
In my program Pretty Rich Bosses, we do a lot of self-reflection. We do a lot of deep diving - because I want all of our students to know themselves and find...
Listen, there comes a time in all of our journeys where we start to feel a little stuck. We can start to let that self-doubt creep in, or the motivation we felt at the beginning of our journey starts to die down.
It happens to all of us! But the beauty entrepreneurs who succeed are the ones that don't let these moments stop them. The ones who succeed are the ones who are able to tap back into their WHY and keep going. So if you're feeling like you're in a rut you'll never get out of - chances are you've lost touch with your why.
Worry not, beauty boss! In this episode, we're going to deep dive into discovering your why and how knowing what truly motivates you is the key to your success.
Here are the episode highlights:
‣‣ [03:27] First I'll share MY why; why I do this Podcast and why it's so important to me to show up every week for you on this platform.
